2021 is rushing by with December almost here and, after last year, we’re all looking forward to a greater sense of normality around our festive celebrations. With our working habits now a mixture of WFH and office-based, some of our lockdown habits, such as virtual meetings, are not going away given both the efficiency and cost benefits. This newsletter focuses on video conferencing and mobile device management all underpinned by cyber security.
Video conferencing
Whether you have offices or clients in other parts of the UK and overseas, the speed, efficiency and cost savings of a virtual call rather than an in-person visit are clear. However, these calls need to be professional (you don’t want to be all huddled round a laptop) so installing a proper video conferencing system is a great solution. Whether connecting your board room or remote working staff, there are solutions out there to integrate with your existing IT infrastructure. (and this Logitech video is worth a watch…) Do get in touch to find out more – 020 8078 0810 or [email protected]
Mobile device management
As restrictions have eased, we’re all out and about more – and so are our devices. In previous newsletters we have discussed both physical security and cyber security such as password and multi-factor authentication. However, one of the most important defences against hackers is ensuring that all your devices are up to date with their security patches. A hybrid work force means your team’s devices aren’t always readily available to be physically checked so remote device management is a must and you can get started for FREE with Miradore. Staying cyber secure
The hackers are not letting up in terms of volume of attacks and targets. These reports from both the NCSC (you can subscribe to the weekly report) and BBC illustrate some examples – even the FBI is not immune as this Cybernews report details! We know we spend a lot of time on cyber security but it’s with good reason – it’s vital to protect yourself as much as you can as the bad guys are not giving up.
